Last night MTV aired the Woodie Awards where Mac Miller took the stage and took home two awards. Unfortunately MTV had to cut his set short to one song for TV, but we have the full videos now! During his performance Mac announced several things including that he won the “Woodie Of The Year” award and that he will release ‘Macadelic’ on March 23rd. Mac Miller Wins MTVU’s “Woodie Of The Year” Award

Just last year Pittsburgh MC Wiz Khalifa took home the “Woodie Of The Year” award at MTVU’s “Woodie Awards”. This year the award will stay in the city of Pittsburgh as Mac Miller claimed the award. To win this honor Mac beat out stiff competition from Skrillex, J Cole, Foster The People, Frank Ocean, & The Black Keys. In addition, Mac also took home the ‘Performing Woodie’ where he beat out Jay-Z & Kanye West, Swedish House Mafia, Skrillex, The Black Keys, & Alabama Shakes. The awards were given to the artist that recieved the most votes, so all MostDope fans everywhere should have a thumb raised for this one! Video of Mac’s performance + award speech coming soon!

Mac Miller Nominated For MTV U’s “Woodie Of The Year Award”

Last year Pittsburgh MC Wiz Khalifa took home the Woodie of The Year Award at the 2011 mtvU Woodie Awards. This year Pittsburgh will try going for the repeat as Mac Miller has been nominated for this years award. Mac will be facing still competition against Black Keys, Skrillex, Frank Ocean, Foster the People and J Cole.

The awards show will take place March 15 in Austin, Texas, during the South By Southwest Music Festival. The day begins at 2 p.m. EST with the first Woodie Awards Festival, then the show starts at 8 p.m.

Fans can watch performances live online and the full show will be broadcast March 18. MTV and mtvU will offer special programming all week from Austin.
