Mac Miller goes on a date with MTV to a Jewish restaurant where he talks about his 5 year plan, birth and more while eating the Jewish traditional food matzo ball soup.

“Do they have gefilte fish?”

A tired, always genial and very funny Mac Miller took a break from his what-seems-like-forever-long nationwide tour to come to New York to handle some promotional affairs. His debut EP, Blue Slide Park, drops November 8. Staring wide-eyed at the menu for legendary Lower East Side Jewish eatery Katz’s Delicatessen, the “half-Jewish” Miller is awestruck by all the fare.

Mac Miller Breaks Down ‘Frick Park Market’ Video

Making sandwiches while rapping isn’t as simple as you may think, but in his “Frick Park Market” video, Mac Miller makes it all look so easy.

Filmed on location at his favorite Pittsburgh deli, Miller jumped behind the counter and got to work. Before we see Mac, however, we see his filthy-looking, gloveless hands putting together a turkey and cheese sandwich.

“My hands aren’t really that dirty; that’s just the lighting,” Mac insisted when he broke down the video for MTV News.

Mac Miller Recruits Bro For ‘Blue Slide Park’ Art

Oh to be a kid again! For his debut album, Blue Slide Park, Mac Miller is paying homage to his childhood stomping grounds of Pittsburgh. The LP cover is a simple, child-like rendition of the playground, drawn by the rapper’s (born Malcolm McCormick) older brother, whose first name is actually Miller.

What a difference a year makes. Last year Mac Miller hit the intimate S.O.B.’s to perform his first show in the city, but on Thursday night, the Pittsburgh rap phenomenon returned to the much-larger Irving Plaza to begin his Blue Slide Park Tour before a sold-out crowd.
